Arrive in Yangon and transfer to the hotel. Your tour guide will welcome you at the airport. After pause in the hotel, visit Botahtaung pagoda, Chaukhtatkyi reclining Buddha, Kandawgyi Park, Bogyoke Market, China town and Shwedagon pagoda. Overnight in Yangon!


Fly to Bagan, ancient capital of Myanmar. It is now one of the biggest archaeological sites in Asia, over 2000 ancient temples and stupas are dotted in the plain land. Visit Nyaung Oo market, Shwezigon Pagoda where the relic of Buddha are enshrined, Kyansit Umin and Gupyauk gyi Temples to see the remaining 12 century mural painting, then Htilominlo Temples which is 4 storey temples beautifully decorated with the stucco. Enjoy the Bagan panoramic view from one of the temple and visit famous Ananda Temple.
After lunch, visit to the traditional Lacquer-ware workshop to observe how they make good quality Lacquer products, Manuhar Temple, where three huge seated Buddha and reclining Buddha are placed, Gubyauk gyi, the finest Fresco in Bagan temples, Shwe-gu-gyi, the best panoramic view at the evening. Then take a horse cart to Pya-that -gyi for sunset.

Day 3: BAGAN (free visit)
You adjust the tour programme for today with your tour guide. A car, bicycles and our tour guide stand by for sightseeing. You can enjoy the sunrise from your hotel or near if you are fit and fresh in the morning and you can freely visit the temples by bicycle or visit some temple such as Phaya Thonezu, Su-lar-ma-ni, Dha-ma-yan-gyi, by car with our guide.

Day 4: BAGAN_MOANYWA (en route)
Leave to Kya Su Kyin by boat (about 1h1/2). After visiting the ancient temples, route to Moanywa. Check in the hotel and overnight in Moanywa.

Transfer to the jetty and across the Chindwin River by private boat. Then route to the phowin taung site (about 1h) where the Buddha Images in the caves carved from the rocky hills. This extraordinary complex consists of 947 sandstone caves dug out of the hills and contains what is considered by archaeologists to be the richest collection of mural paintings in South-east Asia. Return to Moanywa and route to Thanboddhay pagoda which is beautifully decorated with the stuccowork. It is also unique for its more than 580,000 Buddha images covering every wall and archway.
Continue to Mandalay and check in the hotel.

Route to Amarapura, one of the ancient cities around Mandalay (45 min). Visit famous U Pein teak bridge, silk weaving workshop and Mahar Gandaryon monastery, where over 1000 monks live, observe the Buddhist monk life. Return to Mandalay and visit Maha-muni Image which is paid homage as alive and very thick gilded. After lunch, continue your sightseeing to Mandalay royal Palace, Shwe Nan Daw monastery, the original building of Palace, Kutho Taw pagoda, known as the world’s biggest book and Sandar-muni Pagoda, for taking nice photo from there, then drive up the Mandalay hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and sunset.

This morning, you will be driven to Pyin Oo Lwin, 80 km fom Mandalay. It is a hill station, 1100 m above sea level with very pleasant atmosphere. Visit Peik Chin Myaing Cave, Ankhtookanthar Pagoda, Old Chinese temple and Kan-daw-gyi botanical garden where many species of flowers and plants are presented! Return to Mandalay in the evening.

Route to Inwa (1h). After passing the river, take a horse cart and explore Inwa, where the suffering temples are dotted. Continue to Sagaing which is famous for its numerous monasteries and nunneries. Visit Sagaing hill to enjoy the panoramic view and one of the nunneries to observe the Buddhist nuns life.
After lunch, route back to Mandalay and transfer to the jetty. You will make a short cool boat ride to Mingun across the Ayeyarwaddy. Relax on the private small boat for an hour and then visit giant Mingun pagoda, the third biggest Bell and Mya-thein-tan temple on foot. Today your day end up with beautiful sunset on boat.

Day 9: MANDALAY_INLE (flight)
Fly to Heho. Upon arrival, en route to Inle Lake (1 h). Stop at Shweyanpyay monastery on the way. Explore the Inle Lake including floating gardens, fishing technique, stilted-house villages and local small workshop such as cheroot making, black smith, weaving, etc. on the Lake. Visit Phaung-daw-oo pagoda which is the most venerated pagoda in Inle region, then visit Ngapé monastery where the beautiful ancient Buddha shrines are kept. Overnight on Inle Lake!

This morning you make a boat ride to Indein through the floating garden, rice field, bamboo forest and monasteries beside. Very nice boat ride along the stream. Arrive at Indein pagoda complex, 1094 small temples around the main temple. Return to the Lake. After lunch, transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon.
Check in the hotel and overnight in Yangon!

Check out the hotel and take a boat trip to Sagar (about 2 hrs) along the old pagodas, green field and between the valley regions. Sagar is situated in the southern part of the Inle Lake and hosts the five-day market. There are many beautiful ancient temples around the village. After visiting the ancient pagoda complex in Sagar, continue your boat ride to Hpekhone where you will take the car to Loikaw, native place of the Padaung tribe, famous for their long neck with bronze rings.

Day 12: LOIKAW
Visit Kalaw local market where the hill tribes trade their vegetable and agricultural products. After strolling around the market, you will visit the Mt Taung Kwè, where you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the town and its environs. Then depart to the Sanpon village to meet the Padaung tribes. Overnight in Loikaw!

Route to Kalaw, situated 1300m above sea level and home to the Danu, Palaung and Taung Yoe hill tribes. Kalaw was the former hill station of the English and has very pleasant weather. It still remains some colonial houses. Upon arrival, explore the small town and overnight in Kalaw.

Route to Pindaya (1 1/2h) through the colourful landscape. Visit Pindaya cave where over 8400 Buddha statues from different period are placed. One can visit the local paper umbrella workshop near the cave if the time left. After lunch, transfer to the airport for the flight back to Yangon.

Day 15: YANGON_GOLDEN ROCK (route)
Route to Golden Rock pagoda by car via Bago. It is one of the most interesting and sacred Pagoda in Myanmar, located on the 1100 m high mountain range, 161 km from Yangon. Upon arrival in the base of the mountain, proceed directly to the second Base Camp by truck. Then climb up about 50 minutes to reach the top of Kyaikhtiyo Mountain. Visit Golden Rock pagoda and enjoy the sunset.

After breakfast, return to Yangon with a stop in the old Mon city (Bago). The small city is really bustling with the bicycle, tri-shawl, motorcycle, three-wheel motorcycle and horse-cart. And the different religious monuments are remarkable beside the main road such as, mosque, Hindu temple, Chinese temple, monastery and temple.
After Lunch, visit Shwethalyaung reclining image, Shwemawdaw pagoda, Kanbawza_thardi palace and kyeikpun pagoda.

Back to Yangon in the evening! Overnight in Yangon

Day 17: Your departure
Your guide will accompany to the Yangon International airport for your flight back home. You leave Myanmar and very friendly Myanmar people. Your throughout Myanmar trip is ended.
